HYPERCRAFT is a minor in which the student dives into the world of 3D Design and gets taught how to design, texture and animate a small collection for a brand. In this case, MARNI.
The programs that were used in this project are Clo3D, Adobe Substance Painter and Blender.
I designed 5 outfits, out of which I realised one.
The workflow for this outfit started in Clo3D. Through experiments I landed on a silhouette that I like and wanted to continue with. I took a 3D scan of myself and uploeaded it into Clo as an Avatar. I drafted the pattern and baked them so I can texturise them later in Adobe Substance Painter.
In Substance Painter I created the textures for the garments which were then uploaded into Blender to render the scene. For the fur I had to work with the particle system within Blender itself. This also allowed me to brush the hairs the same way I did it in the real test sample.
Test render in Blender with light sources, space and camera position.
Realised outfit, using faux fur, raw denim and white rib for finishings.
Because the avatar is an exact 3D scan of myself, it fits me like a mould.
5 look line up.
